Kids Coloring Party
Any little child loves to play with crayons and paper. This one is always a hit at every little child’s birthday party. Not only that but it is a simple, easy and inexpensive party to do.
You will need a roll of white paper or a few packs of construction paper or coloring books. Both the construction paper and coloring books can be bought at a dollar store. You should allow 5 pages per child so they don’t run out of paper or things to color. Crayons can also be bought in large boxes at the dollar store. Although these crayons will not be name brand the children will likely break most of them so it really will not matter.
To set up this party you will need a large table. Cover the table in a table cloth, preferably a plastic on which can also be found at the dollar store. The table cloth will keep the crayons from falling though the cracks, especially if your using a picnic table outside. Remove the pages of the coloring book or construction paper and lay it out all over the table. This will make the table look interesting and the children will be drawn to it to check it out. Place the crayons in groups of 10 into plastic or paper cups. Place the cups all over the table so that each child can pick up a cup. Little kids like to hold on to things and this will allow each one to have one and avoid fights between the children.
Once the party is over each child can take home is own colored pictures. If you are giving out gift bags or goodie bags for the party you can use brown paper lunch bags. The kids can also color these. Make sure to put each child’s name on it so they know which one belongs to them.
