Princess Party Fun

Having a princess party is every little girls dream for her birthday. To have a fun party that will not only be exciting for the girls but also give them something to take home I suggest having them make their own crowns so each girl can be a princess. This idea is very cheap and will work well with any budget. Here is how you can have each girl make a crown in just a few simple steps.

Materials you will need:

Cardboard or thick cardstock
Tin foil (if using cardboard)
Glitter (optional)
Plastic Gems
Glue
Crayons or markers
Safety Scissors
Stapler with staples (for adult use)

If you have chosen to use cardboard you will need to cut and shape the crowns for the little girls prior to the birthday party since safety scissors will not cut cardboard. If you are using cardstock then the girls can cut and shape their own.

Step One: Have each girl cut out her crown. Then have an adult staple the crown to make it cylinder shape so it will fit on the little girls head. If you are using cardboard you will need to have each girl cover her crown in tin foil. This is also something that could be done before the party depending on each individual preference to how much you want the girls to do and your time limits.

Step Two: Allow the little girl to decorate her crown by using glue, glitter, markers, crayons and plastic gems.

Step Three: Allow the crowns to dry while the little girls play. If it is summer time and the sun is shining allowing them to dry outdoors in the sunshine will speed up the process.

Once the crowns are dry each little girl can wear her crown as the birthday princess cuts her cake and opens her gifts. For added fun you can also have the girls call each other princess and her name for example “Princess Mandy”. You can also ask on the birthday party invitations that all the little girls come in dress up clothes so they can all feel like princesses for the day. The girls can then take the crowns home to play with later.
